Adult monarch nectaring in our yard. Based on the timing, condition (excluding the wing damage) and behaviour, this is likely the monarch from the caterpillar reported 21 Jul 2021 at this location. While it appeared to fly well, successful migration seems unlikely given the condition of the wing.
