Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers
Sightings report image

Date: 08/07/2021

Number: 2

In a second-floor windowbox, I have a sunflower forest (for goldfinches) with hummingbird feeders and three major hummingbird nectar sources -- yellow jewelweed, orange trailing nasturtium, and Salvia microphylla "Hot Lips." Two hummingbirds made frequent visits all day Saturday, using the jewelweed, salvia, and nasturtiums in addition to the feeders. The one in the picture visited the jewelweeds on the way to an adjacent feeder.
