Around noon on a hot day, female monarch found the swamp milkweed patch. She laid dozens of eggs, sometimes intentionally seeking out the lower leaves of the plants. Mostly on the swamp milkweed, but also a young common milkweed and honey vine. As I watched also saw a paper wasp scouting the swamp milkweed for larvae
