8:14 a.m. 66 degrees, sunny, no wind. I took advantage of the cool morning and walked the neighborhood to check the boulevard gardens and milkweed. My neighbor a few blocks over has a large patch of meadow blazing star on the boulevard and in her yard and that's where I saw a monarch come out of a tree and head right for her yard.
