10:30-6:30pm Observed at least 25 monarchs fly through our property today due south toward Point Pelee National Park. I wasn't out all day but when I was monarchs were flitting through. Some stopped to bask on our maple & others stopped to nectar on cone flowers.
I did tag a faded male just because & netted about 6.. all very faded worn & tattered with thin abdomens. Did also see not faded. They were released to continue their journey.
Did see a female laying eggs on young common mw.
24*c full sunlight, with favorable north wind @ 14/32.
