Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers

Date: 08/01/2021

Number: 1

About 10:30 am, as I drank water on the patio to take a break from gardening, I watched a Ruby-throated Hummingbird [with tail spots, grey and white belly] nectaring on the following flowers in the front yard: Lady in Red Salvia, Tithonia, Tropical Milkweed, and my white and yellow Lantana. It visited the purple blooms of the Ironweed nearby, but stakes blocked my line of sight and so I wasn't sure if the bird nectared or just hovering around checking blooms for insects or nectar. No camera available.
