Monarch Waystation #271 reports sighting a male monarch nectaring in the front yard about 1:30 pm today He nectared mainly on tropical milkweeds, then cruised the yard, parking lot and neighboring yards during the brief observation out the window for about a minute as clouds gathered up ahead of a forecast of late afternoon thunderstorms. I checked the back yard after he disappeared from the front, but he didn't appear. There are scattered blooming plants in neighboring yards.
