Saw an adult monarch butterfly that had just emerged from its chrysalis, on our milkweed. The weather was cool (heavy stratus, light rain, high 12.5 C). By the next afternoon/Aug.20, it had warmed up (high 19.5 C) and the butterfly had flown away. :)
