Hummingbird (OTHER Observations)

Date: 08/18/2021

Number: 1

While visiting family in Texas we enjoyed watching ruby throats at the feeders, but a beautiful male Rufus Hummingbird made an appearance on this day. It arrived and sat at the feeder for long periods of time, presumably refueling for the migration it is on. I had seen migrating Rufus Hummers in Colorado late in the season while living in Colorado some years ago, but never this far east as this north Texas location.
