I am a keen gardener with a large garden plus 7 feeders. I’ve never seen our hummingbirds nectaring as much as this year. We have 4 males and many females/ young. They love our copiuous clematis, the honeysuckle, gladiouli, crocosmia, Solomons Seal, Zinnia, Buddleja. I’ve never them on any of our Salvia.
They have up to four on a feeder, which we’re assuming must be a mother and it’s young, as they normally engage in incessant hummingbird wars! I’ll be so very sorry when they leave!!
