I saw a monarch butterfly flying in my backyard at 10:30AM this morning. She was flying over the many milkweed plants and landing on it's leaves as if to lay eggs. It also landed on a bush in the sun as if to warm itself. It also flew all around my garage to the other side as if to look for more milkweed, bit there is none there. Then, she flew back into the backyard and appeared to lay eggs on milkweed leaves. My husband saw her also. We were excited! Perhaps she will be migrating soon.
