This was one of the busiest hummingbird summers I have ever had in 8 years of living in this location. We had approximately 30 hummingbirds on our feeders daily and as a group in the evening. We were going through 10 lbs of cane sugar in a 2-3 week period throughout July and into mid August. It was a pleasure to host them but this number of hummingbirds was really unprecedented.
