Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 08/25/2021

Number: 1

I have been seeing a monarch nearly every day nearly all summer. This is unusual. I do not raise them artificially. After the horrible freeze we experienced in February 2021, many of us noticed uncustomary reactions in our native plants. For instance, my mist flower decided to start blooming in late spring. The monarchs Im seeing this summer visit the mist flower. They fly around, nectar on it, fly around some, land on it again and again, sometimes hanging on it for quite a few minutes at a time.
