Enjoyed hundreds of monarchs just north of New Richmond.
Light north wind most of the day so monarchs were moving.
These alfalfa fields held thousands during the week, following several days of brisk south winds....
The fields were loaded with blooms, something we hardly ever get to see any more. Thanks to the owner for a no spray policy and for leaving the alfalfa for an extra week or two (see the posting for Stanton earlier this week for a wonderful monarch photo.
Temps were very warm....80s all day, still 70s until dark, but did reach 60 by following morning.
Monarchs were gorgeous. Healthy, perfectly formed, and most of them only a week or so old, I suspect.........
