we have never previously reported a monarch fall roost although we have mentioned suspected roosting nearby previously in 2019. This, however, is certainly roosting behavior if only for a single monarch. at 1914 hrs just 14 minutes until true sundown in a Norway maple overhanging the sidewalk along Silver St we watched one monarch select a leaf from which to hang for the night.
