Hummingbird (OTHER Observations)

Date: 08/25/2021

Number: 1

Spotted a female hummer with white feathers around the base of her bill. For the past ten years a female hummer exactly like this always appears during the second half of August, stays for about a week, then heads south. The hummer also is never observed going to the feeders, preferring flowers instead. Since she isn't banded there is no way to verify if it is always the same bird or not, but the similarities are remarkable.
