Found 8 fresh monarch eggs in my butterfly garden this evening. I was surprised to find them this late in the season. Weather has been hot and humid here all of August.
Monarchs arrived in my garden June 2 and have been here steadily ever since. Between June 30 and July 30 I counted over 1000 eggs. This number found on approximately 70 plants around the perimeter of our house. I didn’t check large milkweed beds as they are too hard to navigate in.
