Sighted one monarch, somewhat faded colors, in backyard west if butterfly garden. May be a female laying eggs in Honeyvine milkweed, as there are no flowers in that area, and has been fluttering down amongst a weedy area near a spring garden with irises and peonies (no longer blooming), and there is at least one Honeyvine milkweed climbing the fence. Have seen it in this area intermittently for the past two hours. Time appx 12:00 p.m., temp 87 deg, sunny, moderate winds.
