Number: 7

With a threat of thunderstorms today, I watched my Joe-pye-weed garden Waystation # 4357 in my back yard between 10 AM and 8 PM. There were already 2 monarchs nectaring and at 1 PM, 2 more monarchs arrived. At 1:10 PM, one monarch left heading SW. At 1:15 PM, another monarch arrived. At 1:25 PM, another monarch was seen on directional flight going south over my maple trees. Then a monarch left at 1:55 PM heading SW. At 3:30 PM, another monarch joined the other 3 nectaring until a severe stormed raced through at 5:30 to 6:00 PM. The monarchs made it to my maple trees and a birch tree just in time! No more monarchs were observed to dark. Weather was hazy with the Dew Point at 74%, and the Temperature topped out at 82F.
