Adult male rubythroat took over previous sub adult males position of that desired pinch waist feeder on west side of
blooming Hamelia, Turks cap.
Other 2 sub adult males sighted this a.m. are sticking to potted Coral porterweed, Deep purple Skyscraper, Amigo salvia, Loves and wishes salvia.
I would like to note here hurricanes don't stop (hold) migration unless they are actually caught in one. They do what's called a "fall out."
First week of Sept. is the time due to daylight getting shorter we start seeing "waves of hummingbird species. In that I also at times put clear squirell baffels over feeders in our tropical rain events this time of year.
I have been guided years ago by 2 friends that are local Audubon bird naturalist for this information.
