Steady stream of monarch migrants coming through our yard yesterday and today. I tagged 17 today (for Monarch Watch), 7 on 8/22 and 1 on 8/24. There were more around but I had 25 tags. Only 20% were females. I saw 6 roost in a white pine at dusk on 8/23. Some years we hardly see any migrants come through the yard. Observed numbers were way up this year, all season.
