Tip at Point Pelee National Park
6:15-7:50pm Sunset 7:59
20°c Mostly cloudy with SE wind @13/21kmh
About 15 monarchs were seen flitting about treetops & under trees at Tip shuttle stop area. Only 2 or 3 were settled on bare branches & vibes. 2 or 3 were nectaring on Woodland sunflowers at base of Tip Tower. Appeared pristine. A mix of males & females.
Zero were seen further down to Tip.
7:35pm Returned to shuttle stop area. In 20 minutes before sunset observed about another 2 dz arrive from the west (shoreline) & flit about trees near Tip tower & shuttle stop.
No clusters seen.
Overnight temp forecast at 18°c.
Binoculars, camera & clicker to count.
