I am visiting my dad down in Brentwood, NH. This report is from here, not Maine. I was watering some pots near the front of the garden and greenhouse and saw a smaller monarch laying eggs on a few small common milkweed planted right there. It's surprising. The monarch female was probably 2/3 the size of a
all the other large ones right here nectaring which are probably migrators.
