On 08/29/2021 gathered 75 monarch eggs (see report). By 09/01/2021, the majority of eggs not hatched looked like the picture. On 09/02/2021, these eggs had turned completely black. The eggs were retained for another day and then destroyed. Of the 75 eggs, 41 were destroyed. Of the 11 Asclepias sullivantii eggs gathered since then, only 1 has hatched. All the othets looked like the eggs in the picture. Up until this time, almost all eggs gathered had hatched. Sanitation and hatching process did not change.
