Beautiful day started out cool with clouds by 10:00 clouds moved out by 2:00 it was high 70°s low 80°s. This group was hanging in a small group of trees behind the main dwelling on our farm.
[Report moved from Monarch Adult Sighted to Monarch Fall Roost; additional information contributed by observer, added by Journey North, 09/09/21]:
We have 34 acres in CRP. Where these were sited there is a group of sugar maples adjacent to this area. Our field road runs through the trees and they were in the trees. This was the second day sited in this group of trees. Fifty feet from the trees the CRP ground begins which is planted in pollinators. There is still some good bloom on the Golden Rod along with some thistle that bloomed later. This does shield them from the wind.
