After counting 4 monarchs on September 1st and reporting them to JN, I observed no monarchs from September 2nd to the 5th at 12 locations I monitor, plus my yard. The Sky, Wind, and Temperatures:
Sept. 02: Sunny, NNE-12, 73F.
Sept. 03: Cloudy, SW-4, 70F.
Sept. 04: Cloudy, SE-13, 73F.
Sept. 05: Rain, SW-16, 76F.
Today, the Wind was WNW at 12 mph as I began my migration count at Harrisville State Park along the shore of Lake Huron at 10 AM. By the time I was done at 4 PM, I counted 18 monarchs 10' to 50' high heading south before the Wind changed to the WSW. I also checked 4 locations nearby and saw no monarchs to 5:15 PM, or did I see any at my yard to 7 PM. The Temperature topped out at 68F.
