they return every year,there is hundreds of monarchs or more the all looking for a tree that was cut down over ten years ago for a drain field installation.the butterflies keep landing and taking off trying to find the right tree it appears.the original tree plus 3-4 others used to be completely covered in monarchs.this has been going on since August 29 - today September 6.
