Monarch (lower left blur) was overflying a small patch of whorled milkweed, engaging with a queen (lower right blur), and made one brief nectaring stop. The attached image provides a sense of site setting within the landscape, nearness of flowing water (when present), coyote willow shrubs established along Rio Grande bank, and whorled milkweed plants emerging from a Bermuda grass matrix near La Llorona Park.
