single fresh adult floating generally N to S at 0845 hrs this fine cool September morning. we did not observe nectaring, but the mowed field crossed by this butterfly sported abundant fall dandelion with red, dutch white, and alsike clover hidden closer to ground level on lawn not mowed for three weeks.
