I have a butterfly bush plant on my deck that was visited by 2 juveniles and 1 female adult ruby-throated hummingbird this morning. The adult chased the juveniles away and flew up to my sliding glass door to hover for awhile and say "hello."

Then she flew over to the feeder and took a long drink before zooming off.

I have had many females and juveniles visiting my feeders regularly in the past weeks since the males departed.
