I have lots of milkweed in my gardens (front and back of the house), and monarchs have been somewhat regular mid-summer visitors to my gardens the past 3-5 years, usually on the tail-end of our local Eastern Tiger Swallowtail surge. I have normally seen only one at a time, but 2-3 times this summer I have seen two at a time. I have a variety of nectar rich native plants (plus some annuals - orange marigolds - which they and the skippers seem to like). We have also had caterpillars and chrysalises the past few years, which I will report with photos.
