Monarch Fall Roost
Sightings report image

Date: 09/02/2021

Number: 1200

The monarchs are congregating in trees near our Buckwheat fields. We have about 200 acres of blooming Buckwheat in this area that they are attracted to yearly. They first grouped up about Thursday last week (9/2/21). We have had them here with varying amounts each evening, yesterday (9/8/21)was about 1200 by our method. Count a group and then multiply. I suspect the migration will bring more once it arrives.
