Finally! Sighting of monarch caterpillars this summer have been few and far between. A few weeks ago, I reported lots of adult monarchs flittering around the liatris ligulistylis and other natives. Now we have their offspring. This morning, I counted 9 caterpillars spread across both Sullivant's milkweed and Common milkweed. We still have few adults, but most have left.
