Monarch Fall Roost
Sightings report image

Date: 09/08/2021

Number: 75

My trees are full of clusters of Monarchs

[Additional information contributed by observer, added by Journey North, 09/21/21]:

The large numbers lasted 3 days. We still see a few every day since but nothing large in numbers. No specific source of nectar. Overnight temperatures and wind direction: Mid 70s SSW breeze, not very windy at all. Tree species monarchs were roosting on and whether shielded from wind: Bradford Pear, Corkscrew Willow, and Maples. Took several pictures and counted, estimated what we couldn’t get pictures of.
