About 6 pm saw about 10, flying into and around pecan trees and pine trees. Even saw a pair mating. Too high and too fast to get photo

The monarchs were flying in and out of pecans trees. A roost like I’ve seen photos of didn’t form. This is the actual number I counted on the day reported. Only nectar sources are nearby cotton fields.
