Out boating we noticed several monarchs all flying across the Michigan city marina entrance to one spot, this spot of purple flowers. Upon getting closer, we noticed it was covered in monarchs. About 15-25 we estimate. We counted at least 15. We think this was a peak migration and their first sight of food after a long trek across the lake.
