Monarch Fall Roost
Sightings report image

Date: 09/12/2021

Number: 370

We saw the monarchs flying in for the night. This has been amazing. I cannot say it enough! It’s a warm evening, 82 degrees. Not much wind. Very humid. Warmer than it has been in days. They were on our and our neighbors Norway spruces along and in front of our barn. They were hanging on the outside branches and many more were hanging in the inside and underside branches. There were more, maybe 20 or so on our American Elm and another 20 or so on our buckeye tree.
