5 monarchs fluttered around as we drove past the crabapples and sycamores by the cemetery entrance. 3 more seen roosting in a pine at the bottom corner of the hill. Wamer today, winds were variable but calmed at twilight. Sunset early again due to smoke haze cloud. Observation time 7:30-7:30 pm
