The butterfly migration comes into my little half acre woods every year and it’s getting bigger. They are hanging on many varieties of trees. Mostly native walnut, ash, hickory,elm and oak. My woods is long and narrow running north and south. If the wind is out of the west, they roost on the east side. I also have a space in the center that is protected that they like
I don’t see them feeding much. I think they are there to rest for the next step of their journey.
