We have had 4 each day, 9/11-9/13, all females or juveniles. It is possible on the 11th that we had 5. They were in such a frenzy playing “It’s my feeder” that we cannot be sure. I saw the last male on 9/10. I have written on my Lang calendar that on 9/11/2018 we had our last male. That is the earliest date ever for this until this year. I am hoping to see another male still this year.
I sit on my back porch frequently and enjoy the hummers. I took the picture with my iPad. I was a tad over arm’s reach from the feeder. She ignored me.
