Monarch, Captive-Reared

Date: 09/14/2021

Number: 14

14 released over the last 5 days, 47 thus far this season. Two hatched within a minute of each other yesterday ( see pix) We don't see more than two or three at a time hanging around our milkweed though. ( migrating?) One well worn faded female seen today. Found 7 large larvae on our plants today ( about 70 plants) and last week saw two Monarchs mating. ( Shouldn't it be too late for that now?) Our plants ( tropical, swamp and tuberosa) becoming weaker and producing seed.
