We had planted milkweed in a container in our yard. In the past month we had around 15 caterpillars. Of that 1 died but the others seemed to have crawled away. We were able to find 2 chrysalis. Today (9/14) one of them emerged and seemed healthy and flew away. The second chrysalis will probably take another week to form. The other caterpillars couldn't be found and I am guessing they have found a place to form a chrysalis and probably have turned into butterflies already.
