Had one come today and stay for quite a while, resting and preening in on a thin branch in the sun above the garden, defending and chasing off at least one other (possibly 2) hummers that tried to nectar on our annuals. It seemed to also be eating small insects in the tree. Also chased off a bumble bee from its favorite purple flowers - chased it right out of the garden, something I have never seen before. The picture is just an iPhone from 4 meters away, with him/her feeding at the top right
