Goose Lake Prairie State Park. Second picnic area. Trees were literally dripping with Monarchs early morning 9/15/21. Best guess, difficult to get an accurate count.

They were first seen on 9/8/21 as indicated by a friend. The monarchs have been in a circular picnic area with a variety of trees including Oak, Linden, Walnut. The area is somewhat sheltered. The area is surrounded by prairie filled with Goldenrod and other prairie plants now in bloom.
