Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/15/2021

Number: 30

I'm sure monarchs are roosting in a tree line here, but the trees are so tall I can't spot a roost. Each morning for the past week, I have seen 30+ monarchs flying along the tops of the trees, landing in the grass when there is dew, and nectaring at the flowers. The trees are mostly oak, cottonwood, and black locust, with mulberry and dogwood in the understory.
