Point Pelee National Park at the Tip 5:55-7:45 Sunset 7:39
22°c mostly sunny with light NE wind @6/15kmh. Coldfront arrived day before. Northerly wind all day. Daytime high 22°c. Overnight low 17°c.

Upon arrival at Tip shuttle stop no clusters established.
Observed 2 nectaring on Woodland Sunflowers. Overnight rain perked up the senescing Goldenrod although there is still newly bloomed available. Lavender asters now blooming.

Individuals flying in over tree tops from the north, east & west. A few individually roosted on Hackberry.

Twice visited further south at the Tip. Only a couple seen fluttering. One came in along east shoreline. Another was roosted on a bare branch.

7:15 Returned to shuttle stop. Observed even more arriving from all directions. Clusters began to form on Virginia creeper & 2 clusters seen way high up like 40-50' in Hackberry...a cluster of 3 & of 5 with at least 8 still fluttering about tree tips.
5 spaced apart were on same cascading Virginia creeper. Others individually settled on Hackberry, Mulberry & grapevine.
All appeared pristine.
