Monarch, Captive-Reared
Sightings report image

Date: 09/11/2021

Number: 5

We noticed many of our monarch caterpillars were becoming a meal for the red wasps in our area. Therefore we gathered them onto a tropical milkweed plant in our yard and covered them a screened cage. As a result, 14 adults emerged over the course of a week. On Saturday there were a total of 5 that emerged and eventually flew off. These are three of them.
