I have seeing this one adult monarch butterfly for a week now. I know it is the same one because it is missing his smaller wing on one side.
I was amazed he was flying but that’s what he always seems to be doing and he flys fast. I’ve seen him in what appears to be him chasing off another monarch - he is very persistent. Male protecting his territory ? It likes to fly around me when I am out watering or weeding my small garden in my front yard which is where it likes to hang out- I have some tropical milkweed there but I see it in the back yard as well ,where I have tropical milkweed in large containers.
