I just observed a female nectaring on my fuchsia plant hanging from my deck in the back not far from the hummingbird feeder. I've seen a female there almost every morning and evening the past 3 weeks and a male mostly at the feeder moments before or after the female. There hasn't been much territorial behavior the last few days. They are definitely taking more time drinking and fattening up nicely. We have a feeder in the front garden as well. I see them there around the 6:30 am time. They are such a joy to watch! I will miss them and wish them all safe travels.
I will keep the feeders up as suggested.
Hopefully I can enjoy them a few more days.
