Went with the family to dick young forest preserve tonight to look for roosts but only found individual monarchs over the hour we were there. They were not in directional flight as they were going in all directions and nectaring mostly on clover and though there were millions of goldenrod plants I did't see a single monarch on any of those plants. We have been in a drought most of the summer with no measurable rain in the last two weeks. Fun sun and 89 degrees with the wind out of the south sustained at 8 mph.
